Breath of Life’s American Heart Association Approved BLS (Basic Life Support) Course is designed to provide healthcare professionals the ability to recognize many life- threatening emergencies, as well as provide CPR for adults, children, and infants, use of an AED, and rescue choking victims. The course is intended for both certified or non-certified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals.

Our courses teach high-quality CPR training for adults, children and infants as outlined by the AHA guidelines from early intervention through the post-resuscitation period.

Additionally, hands-on training is provided using state of the art equipment such as the D.A.R.T. Sim ecg simulator with various realistic case scenarios, use of AED (automated external defibrillator), providing adequate ventilation through various barrier devices and real time performance feedback. As well as instruction on how to identify, assess and remove foreign-body airway obstructions for adults and infants

NRP INITIAL/RECERT

NRP Course Structure

Our NRP class has been reformatted to utilize a blended learning format which involves an online portion and an in-person instructor-led portion according to AAP guidelines.

STEP ONE: Study and Prepare (Before Course)

  • Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 8th Edition.  NRP books are also available for purchase and pick up in house during registration.

STEP TWO: Complete the Online Requirements (Before Course)

  • Visit aap.org/NRP and select “NRP 8th Edition Platform”
  • PLEASE CHOOSE ADVANCED CURRICULUM
  • The online course cost is NOT included in the course fee.
  •  ALTERNATIVELY: copy and paste NRPLEARNINGPLATFORM.COM to your seach bar and LOG IN. Once on your dashboard, click COURSE CATALOG found in the menu across the top. Once redirected, click ADVANCED from the menu to the left of your screen and an option for 8TH EDITION ADVANCED PROVIDER 1-11 for $55 will pop up. Click it and it will walk you through the payment process and allow you to begin your course.  

STEP THREE: Attend the Course

  • The course is hands-on and lasts appx 1 hour

PEARS INITIAL

 PEARS INITIAL $150 

In this classroom-based, Instructor-led course, students learn how to use a systematic approach to quickly assess, recognize the cause, and stabilize a pediatric patient in an emergency situation.  PEARS prepares students to provide appropriate lifesaving interventions within the initial minutes of response until a child can be transferred to an advanced life support provider. This course covres:

  • Systematic pediatric assessment
  • Recognition and stabilization of respiratory emergencies
  • Recognition and stabilization of shock emergencies
  • Recognition and stabilization of cardiopulmonary arrest
  • Resuscitation team concept 

 

Average class times run 5 to 5.5 hours

PEARS RECERT

PEARS RECERT $140.
